How SEO and AI-Visibility Tools Charge What 234 tools say on their own public pricing pages, and what a plan is metered by.

Of 286 tools listed, 234 had their pricing text read and 197 show at least one public price. 21.8% of the tools with a public price meter their entry plan by project or site, the most common unit. 24.8% of the tools read offer a free plan.

The page shows counts, shares and medians. It ranks no tool and compares no two tools; the per-tool rows are in the downloads, in alphabetical order.

Key figures

Free plans, free trials, seats and sales-only pricing.

Each tile is a count of tools, shown as a share of the group named under it. A figure that rests on a field below the accuracy bar is computed from the tools checked in the second reading and says so. One that rests on a field no row rated is withheld and shows no number.

What a share is of

  • of 286 tools listedEvery tool of the list: 286, chosen by fixed rules (R1 to R7) before any page was read.
  • of 234 tools readThe tools whose pricing text was read and whose plans were extracted: 234.
  • of 197 tools with a public priceThe tools read that show at least one public price: 197.

A smaller group within these is named on its figure, such as the pages with a readable robots.txt.

Prices

What a plan costs at entry.

The entry price, the annual discount and the prompts that AI visibility trackers meter. A figure that rests on a field below the accuracy bar is computed from the tools checked in the second reading, using their corrected values, and says so. A figure that rests on a field no row rated is withheld.

Entry price a month

The lowest-priced paid plan that is not custom, per month at its minimum units: billed monthly when offered, otherwise the annual price divided by 12. The median is over tools whose entry price is in US dollars; tools priced in another currency are counted apart and not converted.

Method

Counted by code, read from the pages, checked in a second reading.

Code computes every count, share and median. A language model, through our own gateway, only reads the plans and prices from the page text. A sample of its results was checked against the page text in a second reading by the editor, and the accuracy of every field is published.

  1. The list

A tool is in or out by seven fixed rules, R1 to R7, checked on the vendor’s own site.

    Details

R1: it is software, not a service. R2: the vendor describes it as for SEO or AI search. R3: a public page on the vendor’s own domain states the plans or prices, or says the price is on request. R4: the page is in English. R5: the product exists on the read date. R6: one row per pricing page. R7: the publisher’s own product is not in the list. 428 candidates were checked and 286 are in the list. Categories are our labels. A vendor may ask to be added at research@queryrev.com; a tool is added in the next edition.

  2. The reading

The pages were read 24 October 2026 as one crawler, QueryRevBot, obeying robots.txt.

    Details

Pages are read over HTTP first and rendered in a headless browser only when the HTTP text has no price amount and no contact-sales wording, or has under 150 words. A page that robots.txt closes is not read. Requests to one host are two seconds apart. The crawler does not evade a bot check: a page still behind one after one retry is out of this edition.

  3. Plans and prices

A language model, through our own gateway, reads the plans, their prices and what each is metered by from the page text.

    Details

Every plan name, written amount and piece of evidence must be found in the page text, the amount must equal the one written, and the currency must be one the page shows. An answer that fails these checks gets one retry and is then not used. The model never makes a figure.

  4. Computed by code

Everything else is computed by code from those fields.

    Details

The entry price, the primary unit, the annual discount, free plan, free trial, contact-sales-only, the access of AI search crawlers (from robots.txt) and whether a price is in the HTML as served. A free trial is read from patterns with negation; a phrase that is missing is unknown, never no. Prices are in the currency the page shows and are not converted. A price written with a bare $ is read as US dollars.

  5. The second reading

100 of the 234 tools read were checked against the page text in a second reading by the editor.

    Details

The tools were drawn at random, stratified by category, from 209 eligible tools (seed queryrev-pricing-2026:review-200). Every published field of a checked tool was rated right or wrong against the page text. The accuracy below is the accuracy before correction, so it describes the tools that were not checked too. The checked rows are published corrected and flagged checked_in_second_reading in tools.csv and plans.csv.

  6. The publication bar

A field is used in a figure on all the tools when its accuracy is at least 90% and the lower bound of its 95% Wilson interval is at least 85%.

    Details

The bar was fixed before the results were seen. 7 fields are used in a figure on all the tools read and 8 are below the bar. The rule for a figure that rests on a field below the bar was set on 28 October 2026, after the second reading: the figure is computed from the 100 tools checked in the second reading, using their corrected values, and is labelled so on the page and in figures.csv. 5 of the fields below the bar are used that way. Such a figure describes the tools checked, not all 234 tools read. A figure that rests on a field no row rated is withheld: it shows no number and is never filled in. A field below the bar that no figure uses stays in the data with a note. The access of AI search crawlers is computed by code from robots.txt and is outside the review.

Limits

  • Prices are those of the read dates and of the read location. Prices behind a toggle that a click builds are not read. Taxes, coupons and logged-in prices are not covered.
  • Custom plans have no price. A tool whose pages needed a hand reading past a bot check is not in this edition’s data.
  • The list is not the whole market. Categories are our labels, assigned from the vendor’s own description of its main product.
  • Prices are in the currency the page shows and are not converted. The entry-price figure is on the tools whose entry price is in US dollars; the others are counted apart.
  • The model’s measured error rates apply: a plan can be missed or read wrong. The accuracy of each field is in accuracy.csv, measured on the rows of the editor’s second reading, before correction.
  • A field is used in a figure on all the tools when its accuracy is at least 90% and the lower bound of its 95% Wilson interval is at least 85%. A figure that rests on a field below that bar is computed from the tools checked in the second reading, using their corrected values, not from all the tools read, and says so (rule of 28 October 2026). Other fields stay in the data with a note and in no figure.
  • The page shows aggregates only. It ranks no tool, and no figure names one tool as higher or lower priced than another.

Questions

Does the study rank tools by price?

No. It shows counts, shares and medians for groups of tools. The per-tool rows are in the downloads, in alphabetical order, and no figure names one tool as higher or lower priced than another.

Why are some figures computed from the tools checked in a second reading?

A figure is computed from all the tools read when every field it rests on has an accuracy of at least 90% and the lower bound of its 95% interval is at least 85%. That bar was fixed before the results were seen. A figure that rests on a field below it is computed from the 100 tools checked in the second reading, using their corrected values, and is labelled so; it describes those tools, not all 234 tools read. This rule was set on 28 October 2026. A figure that rests on a field no row rated shows no number. accuracy.csv gives the accuracy of every field.

Who read the plans and prices?

A language model, through our own gateway, read them from the page text, and code checked each name, amount and piece of evidence against that text. A sample of the tools was then checked against the page text in a second reading by the editor.

Why is the entry price only in US dollars?

Prices are kept in the currency the page shows and are not converted. The median is over the tools whose entry price is in US dollars, and the tools priced in another currency are counted apart.

How do I ask for a correction or an addition?

Write to research@queryrev.com. A vendor’s page is read again and the correction is published as a dated row; a tool that asks to be added is in the next edition.

How often are the pages read again?

Every six months, with a change log of price changes. A page whose text is unchanged is not read by the model again.
